Supporting Palestinian Families and Students Through Our Programs

Go Palestine does not receive any funding, either nationally or internationally. This means we rely entirely on the fees generated from our international programs. These fees allow us to create opportunities for the local community by offering mini-jobs to Arabic teachers, providing income for host families, and organizing free courses for Palestinians.

Our goal is to create a meaningful balance by supporting Palestinians in accessing education and employment opportunities while providing internationals with a unique and immersive experience of life in Palestine. Through our programs, we aim to foster cross-cultural understanding, empower local communities, and offer a platform for internationals to contribute positively to Palestinian society.

Volunteer Opportunities in Palestine

At Go Palestine, we offer a range of volunteer programs focused on helping Palestinians improve their conversational English skills. These programs are open to people of all ages, including children, students at various educational levels, and residents of refugee camps in the West Bank. You don’t need to have prior teaching experience, as the goal is to engage in casual, everyday conversations to help participants become more comfortable speaking English.

In addition to volunteering, you’ll have the opportunity to learn Arabic and immerse yourself in the local culture. Staying with a host family provides a firsthand experience of daily life in Palestine, offering a deeper cultural understanding. This experience is designed to be mutually beneficial, creating valuable learning opportunities for both volunteers and the local community.

Internship Opportunities in Palestine

In addition to our volunteer programs, Go Palestine offers a variety of internship programs centered around critical topics such as human rights law, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, media and Palestine, environmental issues, healthcare, refugees, and trade and economy. These internships provide participants with the opportunity to connect with activists, visit organizations working on these issues, and engage with experts in each field. Participants will also go on field visits to key sites relevant to their area of focus.

While in Palestine, you’ll also have the chance to learn Arabic and teach conversational English to Palestinians, enriching your experience through meaningful cultural exchange. Staying with a host family will offer deeper insights into Palestinian culture and daily life. The internships at Go Palestine are immersive experiences that combine education, cultural engagement, and hands-on interaction with significant regional issues, including organized visits to refugee camps to gain a better understanding of the challenges faced by Palestinians living there.

Intensive & Super Intensive Arabic Courses in Palestine

Go Palestine offers both intensive and super-intensive Arabic courses, available in the Palestinian dialect and Modern Standard Arabic. These courses cater for all proficiency levels and are led by highly qualified teachers with over 10 years of experience in teaching Arabic as a second language to international learners. With one-on-one instruction, you’ll receive personalized attention, allowing you to ask questions freely and engage directly with your teacher.

The courses offer flexible scheduling, enabling you to learn Arabic more efficiently. Staying with a host family provides an ideal setting to practice and rapidly enhance your language skills. For those unable to travel to Palestine, we also offer online Arabic classes, which include a complimentary first session. This option is perfect for anyone who wishes to learn Arabic from skilled instructors, even from a distance.

Help Refugees in Palestine

By engaging with Palestinian refugees, you’ll gain valuable insight into their challenges and support their efforts to build a brighter future. The volunteer activities are focused on youth, children, and women living in refugee camps. Despite the difficult conditions, you’ll find that education is viewed as a vital means of fighting for their rights.

Depending on your availability and commitment, you can volunteer for a period ranging from one week to three months. During your stay, you’ll have the chance to learn Arabic, connect with local Palestinians, and immerse yourself in their culture and traditions. You may also live with a host family, offering an even deeper understanding of their daily lives.
